HEAD LICE HELP!

Head Lice!! Annoying, disgusting, sometimes painful little creatures that run rampant in our schools and LOVE childrens hair!
Here are some unusual natural remedies for those fed up paying high prices for dangerous chemical versions or so called herbal remedies that do not work.
For head lice problem wash your hair with vinegar. Vinegar will helps in killing all the lice nits in two days.

For head lice use Listerine (original flavor): Another remedy for treating head lice is rubing listerine mouth wash on your head. This will kill all the lice

Massage your head with mayonnaise and comb it after 2 hours. This will kill all the lice and their eggs. Apply a mixture of lemon and butter on your head, wait for 15 seconds and then rinse your head.

Mix talcum powder with 0.2 per cent prethrum dust in it (or add 10 per cent DDT). Sprinkle this powder on the hair before going to bed and rub it vigorously so that it reaches the roots. Cover your mouth, nose and eyes to protect them from the powder.

Cheap conditioner massaged into scalp left to set for 10mins then comb through with lice comb, repeat daily for 3 days and again in one week.

Conditioner mixed with Tea Treee oil apply as above, keep away from eyes.

First of all, these little critters can shut their systems down for over 2 hours and still survive. Washing your hair with vinegar will do nothing to the live lice, all it does is loosen the glue on the nit, to assist in eradication of the nit. I would not recommend using mayonnaise on little ones in case they put their wee fingers in it, then in their mouths...chance of Salmonella food poisoning. Plus it must be awful to wash out. One must be careful with the Tea Tree Oil as it is really an astringent and can be very drying to the hair and scalp.

The best way to deal with head lice is to saturate the head/hair with Olive oil. Wrap head in a towel or shower cap. Leave on for a minimum of 4 hours. Then wash with dish soap, like Dawn and then repeat wash with regular shampoo. This will kill the lice. Now to deal with the nits, you must invest in a good metal lice comb and do a through job of combing. Repeat the combing every 2nd day for 2 weeks, and reapply the oil treatment every 4th or 5th day for the 2 week period. You should be fine. I found all this out from professional Lice Removers. It can still be time consuming but it works. Better yet, call the professionals,as they can have you lice and nit free in a matter of a few hours.
